This afternoon will feature exhibits about the history of the family, opportunities to meet distant relatives, participate in games and enjoy light refreshments. There will be a chance to explore Canoe Cove Presbyterian Cemetery, where over 60 family members are buried. In addition, the memorial stone commemorating the lives of Charles MacKinnon and Christina Cameron, will be unveiled.

We are encouraging family members to show off their talents after dinner, in a traditional sampling of music, poetry and stories. A cash bar will be available. Pizza will be offered for children who do not wish to eat turkey, at a reduced price.

We will meet at the A.P.M Centre to head out on a tour of family sites on the Island. This will include stopping at several cemeteries. We hope to stop at one or more family homes, and will view others as we pass by. Historial photos of people and places, shown on the bus DVD players, will accompany the tour, as well as a tour guide on each bus. A box lunch from Tim Horton’s, including a substantial sandwich, doughnut and fruit juice, is included in the price. The buses are fully air conditioned and include a bathroom. This tour will take 8-9 hours.
