Directions to Cornwall, P.E.I.

From Halifax Airport:

Exit the airport, following signs to Hwy 2 to Truro. On the far side of Truro, follow the signs and bear left to Hwy 104 (TransCanada Hwy). Approximately half an hour past Truro, you will encounter a tollbooth (cost $4.00 per car). Continue on Hwy 104 to Amherst. (Note: Nova Scotia Tourist Bureau is off Hwy 104 on the far side of Amherst if you want to stop for maps etc) Just past Amherst, exit onto Hwy 16 leading to Cape Tormentine/ Bridge to P.E.I. Most of this highway is 2-lane, while all the rest of the highways in Nova Scotia are 4 lane divided highways. Cross the Confederation Bridge (no charge to enter P.E.I.; $40.75 per 2 axle vehicle to exit P.E.I., $6.75 for each additional axle). At either end of the bridge are tourist bureaus. Follow Hwy 1, taking the exit towards Charlottetown. Continue on Hwy 1 to Cornwall (approx. 50 km./30 mi.). If staying at the Sunny King, it is on the left, while the Dutch Inn and Super 8 are on the right hand side of the highway. Recommended cottages are off Hwy 19 (exit at Desable) or off Hwy 1 at Hampton. Driving time is approximately 3 ½ to 4 hours.

From Charlottetown Airport:

Exit the airport onto Sherwood Road. Continue straight on Sherwood Road to a T-junction at Lower Malpeque Road. Turn left onto Lower Malpeque Road and continue to Hwy 1 (TransCanada Hwy). Turn right onto Hwy 1 and follow the highway to Cornwall. If staying at the Super8 or Dutch Inn, those motels are on the left hand side of the highway, while the Sunny King is on the right. Driving time is approximately 15 minutes.

Directions to Canoe Cove

The route from Cornwall to Canoe Cove will be well marked with Reunion signs. Turn south onto Meadowbank Road/Hwy 19 in Cornwall, and continue along it to New Dominion where it becomes 19A. The highway you want is straight ahead, while Hwy 19 veers off to the left. Once you get to Canoe Cove, turn left towards Canoe Cove Presbyterian Church. Look for the parking signs. Driving time is approximately 15 minutes from Cornwall.

Directions to APM Centre

The APM Centre is in Cornwall, visible from Hwy 1. Turn at the stoplights at John Street. Take the first left and then the first left again into the APM Centre parking lot. See you there!
